Mike Byrnside; a veteran, air traffic controller, machinist/welder, nurse, and a traveler; are among a few of the career paths explored throughout his life journey. As an artist, Mike is known for his black & white portraiture and dynamic landscape photography. Given a camera at a young age; opened a new dimension of how he perceived the world; allowing him to open lines of communications between him and complete strangers. This fed into his innate curiosity for learning and interacting with people, to understand the essence of their journey through their life.

Mike has become a keen observer of people and places wherever he encounters them. His goal is to capture images that speak to the emotional character and story of the subject.
